The Science
Every ingredient in the HXRD formula has been selected for a defined traditional or nutritional role. This page exists to explain that role honestly — what each component is, where it comes from, and what it contributes. No exaggeration. No promises. Just the facts.
Eight components
Horny Goat Weed
A leafy plant from the Epimedium genus, horny goat weed has been used in traditional Chinese wellness practices for centuries. The plant contains icariin, a flavonol compound that remains the subject of ongoing nutritional research. We include a standardised extract as part of the botanical blend.
Tongkat Ali
Also known as longjack, Tongkat Ali is a flowering plant native to Southeast Asia. Its root has a long history of traditional use in Malaysian and Indonesian wellness culture, where it has been consumed as a tonic for generations. We source a concentrated root extract for the formula.
Tribulus Terrestris
A plant with a history of use in both Ayurvedic and traditional Mediterranean wellness practices. The fruit and root are the parts most commonly used in traditional preparations. Our formula includes a standardised Tribulus terrestris extract.
L-Citrulline Malate
L-Citrulline is a naturally occurring amino acid. In the body, it plays a role in the urea cycle and serves as a precursor to L-arginine. Citrulline malate combines the amino acid with malic acid, a compound involved in the body's natural energy-yielding processes.
Guarana Extract
A climbing plant native to the Amazon basin, guarana is a natural source of caffeine and has been used by indigenous communities for generations. We include a measured, standardised extract as part of the energy-supporting element of the formula.
Zinc
An essential mineral that the body cannot produce on its own and must obtain through diet or supplementation. Zinc plays a role in numerous physiological processes and is a key component of the HXRD mineral blend.
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, to normal cognitive function, and to the normal function of the immune system.
Magnesium
An essential mineral involved in a wide range of enzymatic reactions in the body. Magnesium is one of the most commonly insufficient minerals in modern diets, making dietary intake a consideration for many adults.
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, to normal energy-yielding metabolism, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Vitamin B6
A water-soluble B-vitamin that the body cannot store in significant amounts, meaning regular dietary intake is necessary. Vitamin B6 works synergistically with zinc and magnesium in the HXRD formula's mineral-vitamin blend.
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to the regulation of hormonal activity.
Zinc · Magnesium · B6
Zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6 are frequently combined in nutritional formulations as a complementary trio. Each is an essential nutrient that the body requires through diet, and each contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism — supporting the body's natural processes rather than overriding them.
Together, these three nutrients form the mineral-vitamin core of the HXRD formula, complementing the botanical and amino acid components.
